Big Gig, COVID-19 Edition receives $5000 in prize funding from Machias Savings Bank
Big Gig is incredibly excited to announce that we will be receiving $5000 in prize funding from Machias Savings Bank to host a virtual, COVID-19 Edition of our Big Gig Pitch-Off on Tuesday, July 28th! The entire $5000 will go to our three finalists; first place will receive $2500, second place will get $1500, and $1000 will go to third place.
To qualify, the Maine startup or small business must have pivoted their business, recognize an opportunity to pivot their business but can’t currently afford to do so, or have created a business in response to the needs of the COVID-19 pandemic. The deadline to submit the application, which is a ninety-second video, is July 14th.
As always, attendees will get to watch three entrepreneurs pitch their business (in 5 minutes or less and without the use of slides) to our audience and panel of seasoned business people, but everything will be virtual! Like with our normal Big Gig Pitch-Offs, audience members will still get to vote for their favorite entrepreneur to win a portion of the $5000!
