Easy Eats Wins Big at Geaghans Tasting Room!

For the 3rd year in a row, we hosted our February pitch-off at the always popular Geaghan's Tasting Room in Brewer, where 75 people packed in!

First up, Lauren Tuell pitched Mainely Succulents, an out-of-the ordinary flower shop experience that offers "Plant & Sips," succulents for weddings, and workshops. Brian Ross then pitched Chef Brian's Kitchen, meal programs designed specifically for active cancer patients to help assist in their fight by maintaining strength through his meals. The third and final pitchers of the evening were Katharine Dougherty & Christian Krohg of Easy Eats, a food delivery service FOR students BY students at Colby College!

After some constructive feedback from our Big Wig judges, Soubanh Phanthay of the Brewer City Council, Joseph Migliaccio, Director of Business Development for Maine Technology Institute, and Betsy Lundy, Downtown Coordinator & Cultural Liaison for Bangor & a serial entrepreneur, both the audience and the judges voted for their favorite.

The winner of the pitch-off was Easy Eats! Congrats Katharine & Christian, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Finale on April 7th, where $5000 will be up for grabs! Stay tuned to find out who the wild card contestant will be!A big thanks to our awesome sponsors, without whom these Big Gig Pitch-Offs wouldn't be possible!
