Eariously Wins Decembers Big Gig at UMaine's Famed Alfond Arena!

This December we hosted our Orono pitch-off at UMaine’s Alfond Family Lounge in the famous Alfond Arena!

First up, Suzie Milkowich pitched LetzGoBags, a business producing purses, bags, and backpacks made of recycled textiles. Nick Rimsa then pitched Eariously, an app that lets you listen to the things you want to read (like news, articles, blogs) on your phone with the tap of a button! The third and final pitchers of the evening were Steve Doman and John Peters of TrustedRentr, a web application that uses an algorithm to screen potential tenants for landlords and also simplifies the rental application process for renters.

After some constructive feedback from our Big Wig judges, Daniel Finnemore, Owner of Box of Maine, Magdalena Blaszkiewicz, CEO of Neuright, and Jennifer Baroletti, an analyst for Eaton Peabody, both the audience and the judges voted for their favorite. The winner of the pitch-off was Nick Rimsa of Eariously! Congrats Nick, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the final regular season event at Geaghan’s Tasting Room in Brewer in February!
